Doing a little reading on today: Groundhog Day, Imbolc, Candlemas or the day after St. Brigid's Day.  It's the beginning of spring by early reckonings (for people in the more-temperate UK, I suppose).  Around here, winter is usually just getting going at this point, though it's been tepid and soggy this year.
